Hello, friends!
While April was a busy month for our family (my son turned 5!), it was a slow month for me in terms of writing. But I’m happy to say I’ve picked up the pace again in May! Not only have I been busy plugging away at the keyboard, hard at work on some new story submissions, but the acceptances have also started pouring in.
My short story “Fishing with Cormorants” was accepted by Clarendon House Publications and is currently featured in Issue #4 of The Inner Circle Writers’ Magazine. This is an incredible magazine for writers and readers alike. It’s not only filled with informative articles but with great fiction and stunning artwork as well. I’m so pleased with the beautiful photos accompanying my story in this issue and excited to be included among so many other talented authors.
You can purchase a single issue for $2.59 USD or a year’s subscription (12 issues) for around $26 USD at the link below.

In addition to this, I have still been having fun playing with Microfiction–drabbles in particular. In case you don’t know, a drabble is a story written in exactly 100 words, which can be both fun and challenging.
Two of my short stories “Time for Lunch” and “The Ark” have been accepted by Black Hare Press for their anthology WORLDS: Dark Drabbles Book 1. Release is scheduled for June 25th and the e-book is available for pre-order now!
My short stories “Fallen Feathers” and “Keeping up with the Mending” have been accepted by Black Hare Press for their anthology ANGELS: Dark Drabbles Book 2. Release is scheduled for July 23rd and this e-book is also available for pre-order now!
And my short stories “Pukwudgies” and “Skinwalker” have been accepted by Black Hare Press to appear in their anthology MONSTERS: Dark Drabbles Book 3. Release is scheduled for August 20th.
Also, since my last blog post (it’s been awhile, I know!), my short story “The Other Side” was accepted by Mercurial Stories and appeared in Volume 2 Issue 3. You can read it for free here:
You can also check out the Stories page on my website for the link to this story and several others that are available to read on-line for free. Keep an eye on this page for future additions!
As always, a huge thank you to all my followers! I hope the rest of your week goes well, and have a wonderful weekend!
